Stuff We Liked: Felix and Michael at the Chase, Walks through NOLA, and a Swing Museum
/We are loving this “Sand Storm” routine by Felix Berghäll and Michael Jagger. They are both such cool characters performing something out of a classic Hollywood movie. At the Chase Festival 2017 in Heidenberg, Germany.
Other stuff we liked this week:
At the International Lindy Hop Championships this August in DC there will be a “Swing Dance Museum” set up to feature some iconic items from our history. So far they plan to showcase Dawn Hampton’s gold shoes and a 1938 Harvest Moon Ball medal! They are soliciting contributions, if you have a precious artifact to show off.
Read these touching portrait of one jazz lover’s connection to Louis Armstrong on the Jazz Lives blog.
Take a walk back in time through Nola (New Orleans, for those not in the know) with this new website that connects famous spots in New Orleans with their historic roots. Do you “know what it means to miss New Orleans?” We sure do.
