Where has the time gone? I can hardly believe it, but the 2020 International Lindy Hop Championships takes places in a little over a week, from November 27 to 29!
This year of course this is an all virtual event (thanks, COVID). Despite this, the organizers are pulling out all the stops to make this an unforgettable event, including three days of stellar competitions, the juniors program and competition, top-level instruction, thought provoking LED Talks, and fun dance parties.

So the above was going to be our full news item. But then Tena Morales, ILHC organizer extraordinaire, posted this morning that scammers on Facebook had made multiple fake ILHC event pages, in an attempt presumably to get people to pay them to attend. From Tena:
Currently there appear to be 4 different scam events. You'll see the hosts are things like "All Streaming Live Event", "Europe Top Events", "Full-Album Benefit Concert", as well as the fake page "The Virtual ILHC 2020".
So, for the record, this is the official ILHC Facebook page. And this is the official Facebook event for ILHC 2020. Any other Facebook events or pages purporting to be ILHC are probably fakes and should be reported.
That’s just so wrong.
