I was doing some research because I would love to do my own illustrations of Lindy at some point and ran across this. So cute! I love the idea of dancing illustrations. What have you all found in the way of Lindy art?

I know this site: http://www.vintagejazzart.com/ has some awesome prints and posters of Lindy Hop. Also a portion of every purchase goes to The Lindy Hoppers Fund!

"This drawing is from a photograph taken at Camp Jitterbug 2008 http://www.pbase.com/lindyshutterbug/image/98975084. I think it’s Teni Lopez-Cardenas from Denver/Austin? Anyway, I love drawing to find those great organic lines in people, her leg, the arm. It was just such a great moment in time, I had to catch that swivel and play with it. Sorry Teni. Sorry Dan. Sorry shoe. Sorry arm. This was about legs, angles and finding the best lines ever."

I suppose quite a bit of lindy illustrations are to be found in event marketing... here's a great one by Ceth Stifel from Denver, albeit a little esoteric:

I seem to remember there being a mini-gallery of lindy hop art in Herrang in either 2006 or 2007, and there was some interesting lindy inspired art there. Anyone remember what I'm talking about and know something more about it?

We're considering a music/dancing/jazz era art show for an event since there's a great art gallery space that would be excellent for dancing. We'd have to plan ahead though, to gather and solicit the pieces, which might be the hard part. But I love when people experience the same thing from different genre perspectives.
